Can you believe it………This year is the 30th year that this event will take place in Ballarat!

The now iconic 'Tour of Tradition' (aka Pub Crawl) is the largest university event of its kind in all of Australia and quite possibly the longest running event Uni event in Aus as well.  It is the event with all the hype...nominated for the Guinness Book of World Records with over 2000 students attending back in 2015 and it is one our most prized traditions.

Although the Stone Cutters committee don’t like to mess with tradition too much, we thought that some freshening up was in order and it’s only fitting that we have gone back to the original format that existed from 1999 to 2008 (that’s as far back as we could find any records of from past committees).  Let us explain:

One of the biggest changes is that you will no longer be choosing a coloured dress theme, all pre-purchased tickets will be the same.  We felt like there are plenty of dress-up events in O Week and Week 1 so this would be a welcomed change.

Everyone will start at the same venue ,with the Sporting Globe chosen to host the registration and pre-party aspect of the event.  You will only then be allocated to one of three different groups on arrival so you will need to get in early to get your group.

Once your group is ready to go, then your chosen leaders will take you on this time honoured mystery tour of Ballarat before ending back up at the Bluestone Nightclub for the official After Party.

You will not know which venues your group will be visiting throughout the night but we can tell you that each venue has been specifically chosen to house various forms of unique entertainment that will make the event even more interactive and interesting.

The only thing we can guarantee with this new format is that if you arrive with your friends then you will be assured to be in the same group as them.  Arrive at different times and then it will be luck of the draw (although you still have a 33% change I guess).

We will try our best on the night to accommodate people but best to get in early to get what you want.

The start of Pub Crawl was always considered to be just as good as the event back in the day so it’s only fitting that we have chosen a hotel with a full wrap around balcony and rooftop bar.  The ultimate venue to take advantage of that beautiful daylight savings sunlight and a magical view of the CBD prior to students taking to the streets.

This is the one event that you will definitely need to pre-purchase your ticket and instantly save $10 when you purchase your 2019 Stone Cutters Membership at the same time (includes a $15 drink card to the official first function, so you are almost ahead).

Tickets officially go on sale Monday 28th January at all outlets (see below) and some will be available on the both the Monday & Tuesday during Oweek at the Fed Uni (Mt Helen campus).

Just remember that students are still encouraged to pre-purchase tickets at the Ballarat ticket locations listed below to ensure they will not miss out (limit of 1000).
